Food Day91ɬÂþ Saint Mary's University celebrated National Food Day -- a nationwide effort to highlight healthy, sustainable, accessible and affordable food -- in a big way on both campuses.

On Oct. 24, 91ɬÂþ Saint Mary's hosted a Food Day Fair at Chalon, featuring a farmers market for students, a pedal-powered smoothie station, healthy snack sampling, nutrition games and presentations by the 91ɬÂþ's Eco Club.

Two days later, the University's Doheny Campus hosted its Food Day Fair with much of the same menu. Both campuses also hosted a talk on "A Beginner's Guide to Healthy Eating," presented by Alison Halpern, 91ɬÂþ Saint Mary's wellness manager and a registered dietician. Halpern offered tips on the essentials to eating well and shared healthy take-home recipes.

The Food Day events were part of the University's ever-expanding 91ɬÂþ Wellness movement.
